Evie Blanco is a strong, hard working and determined woman, born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Corona, Queens, NY. A self proclaimed sneakerhead and a lover of music, Evie is doing all she can to provide for her 2 year old daughter Sade Imani. With her adopting her mothers love of shoes and music, the world better be prepared for two tenacious Blanco women. Growing up in New York, Evie was inundated and intoxicated by Hip-Hop, with a boombox placed on a stoop down every street, the sound was unavoidable. Hip-Hop became the soundtrack to her life with New York radio permeated throughout every aspect of her adolescence, from home to the school classroom. The biggest influences in Evie’s education and entertainment in the world of Hip-Hop were the radio DJ’s most notable; Angie Martinez, Monie Love, Steph Lova, Jazzy Joyce and Coco Chanel.
Fast forward to 2014 and everything changed after developing a passion for journalism. In a pivotal move Evie became a contributor at a well respected magazine, while also dipping into her roles as Public Relations, Marketing and Advertising professional. With ambitions to take the world by storm, she created her own agency “The Blanco Division”, and with an ear for music and an eye for talent, Evie has built a solid foundation for her company and has successfully worked with numerous notable artists. Her most recent endeavor is a testament to Evie’s hard work and the strides she has made within the music industry. Still, with more to offer, Evie has created her own magazine and digital publication, SYL Media, and with her experience, talent, and drive there should be no doubt in anyone’s mind that this too will be a success
