Bathgate just released the new single “E’s Crib” from the album Nobody’s Innocent. Produced by Str8Bangaz, the new song features verses from heavy rhyme hitters Tom Gist and A. Clay (Saintville Entertainment). Released right in the middle of summer, “E’s Crib” captures the essence of that feel-good music era from back in the day.
Bathgate is no stranger to packing punchlines. The Harlem emcee did numbers during the height of the mixtape era, leading to a record deal with Virgin. (In fact, I bumped into Bathgate at Happy House Records next to the Apollo on 125th Street back in the late ’90s).
