New York City’s Hip Hop scene has been flourishing for the last couple of years with a variety of new talent. One of those artist is Eddie Kaine, he comes from the Bedstuy part of Brooklyn, NY. He’s been consistently releasing music and establishing himself in the NYC circuit, however hasn’t limited himself to New York.
His first official release was in 2019 with his album “Aruka”, from then on he’s been dropping music regularly. My favorite albums being “Legend of Kaine” & “Wonderful World of Kaino”. His most recent release “House of Kaine” produced by BP Infinite continues displaying his pride in his artistry & creative process.
Showing growth musically is important to Kaine, when asked about it he states “I’ve grown through the years by being more serious and buckling down to perfect my craft…My whole career is based on growth, also you can see and hear the growth in my material”
While most rappers persona is them living their best life Kaine speaks on the grind. On “Came from nothing” he brings reality rap, motivational music, and paints a cinematic picture of his journey chasing his aspirations.
“13 going on 30” ft Smaccz is a great song as he stories some of his trials & experiences from adolescence to manhood. He delivers a relatable song dealing with reality along with a melody that fits.
On “No Light” ft Spoda Kaino speaks on his conflict with some of his choices and shows his versatility with song creating. Adding a perfect feature with Spoda matching the songs energy. Overall another great addition to the Brooklyn natives catalog.
