Starting off getting right to business in 2025 Brooklyn Mcs Eddie Kaine and Rim bring you “Welcome To Stuyville”. The frequent collaborators continue to show their musical chemistry with this album.
Both are prominent solo artist who are putting their stamp in the industry and representing for their city. The title of the album references their neighborhood Bedford Stuyvesant known as “The Stuy” or “Bed-Stuy”. Kaine paints pictures with his rhymes while using his voice as an instrument; as Rim delivers a vicious flow with witty wordplay.
The production is handled by 38 Spesh & Camoflauge Monk. The features are well balanced with todays heavy hitters Benny the Butcher, Che Noir and Hus Kingpin. They also have West coast legend Kurupt, and the late Fred the Godson. The duo does a great job with variety in the production, fitting hooks that add to the song, and engaging subject matter.
The opening track which is also the lead song “What’s This” sets the tone for the album, making it clear Brooklyn is here. “Stay Focused” a motivational track which shows Eddie’s diversity on the chorus, while Rim sets it off . On “Da Whispers” ft Hus Kingpin it’s more of a mellow vibe, straight to it with no hook.
“Welcome To Stuyville” is a great way to start off the year and continues to show NYCs rising talent and new breed.
