It’s been a really good year for Queens, NY artist J Rose. The spoken word artist, author, and performer has seen her ambitions come to fruition. Growing up in NYC she was immersed in the music scene especially Hip-Hop. Having a passion for artistry she would eventually become an artist and put purpose to that passion.
She started off performing live before taking the craft seriously, but it would be in 2020 that she would begin writing with intent. The journey started by building her network outside of NYC with other artist on & offline. She’d continue to work on her craft by performing routinely and sharpening her Pen.
Rose would eventually connect with childhood friend Skyzoo a very respected MC in today’s Hip Hop scene. Recognizing another great writer Skyzoo would go on to sign Rose in 2024 making her the first artist on his imprint First Generation Rich.
Wasting no time J Rose released her debut Spoken word album “Pieces of My Crumbled Thoughts”. The album features her reciting poetry accompanied with music, and some without. She takes listeners on a journey from her experience in life, from family, love, hardships, and pursuing her dreams.
After the album she would published her first book released June 3. The book titled the same as the album and is a composition of her work. It’s very clear that her hustle matches her talents, and many can draw inspiration from her journey. The Queen’s native demonstrates that hardwork does in fact pay off.
