The last 3 years UFO Fev has really been working and putting out multiple quality project’s each year. The East Harlem Mcs journey began way before then but he credits 2016 as when he really locked in with his music.
Born & raised in East Harlem, NY he list Mcs like The Notorious B.I.G, Nas, to Beanie Sigel as some artist he’d listen to. Like many hip hop heads he began writing down lyrics to songs from his favorites, this would soon turn into him writing his own lyrics.
Fev brings a well balanced style in his music. I’d say the Harlem swag shows as he doesn’t really get too hyped or animated but shows plenty confidence and presence. He brings that vibe music, some social commentary, and actual bars. His music varies sonically as well as he has worked with several producers from Frank the Buthcer, DJ Hart, Big Ghost LTD, Vanderslice to the legendary Statik Selektah have all contributed to Fev’s albums
In this time span some of the dope albums he released are “The Ghost of Albizu” “Magnum Opus” “From El Barrio, With Love” “E Pluribus Unum” “The Most High” ft Red Inf. His talents have lead him to work with rap greats like Fat Joe, Termanology, and some of today’s Mc’s SmooVth, Flee Lord, Nems.
His latest album “Blood on the Bills” where as Fev has done previously has one producer this time overseen by Finn. I felt this one is more topic & bars driven. The production is a mellow vibe but still varies with Drums & the kicks.
The lead song “Wash The Bills” definitely has Fev flexing his wit & confidence with the rhymes, As well as on “A1 Credit”. His songs like “Drug Free” “The Tax Man” ft Ty Farris and “Drop the Needle” ft Pro Dillinger show his commentary and his ability to be on theme. Also bringing reflective songs like “Words of Wisdom” & “Watch What You Say”
“Blood on the Bills” just further shows why UFO Fev has been one of the most promising Mcs from New York and in today’s industry
