Project Unity’s Signature Fundraiser Returned for its Fifth Year With a Powerful Fusion of Gospel and
Classical Music, With a Special Tribute to the Late Shaun Martin
DALLAS, June 23, 2025 – Project Unity, in partnership with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, has once again delivered a soul-stirring installment of Together We Sing, an electrifying evening where gospel meets classical in a musical experience unlike any other.
For the fifth installment of Project Unity’s signature fundraiser, all in attendance were treated to the unparalleled vocal harmonies of the legendary Clark Sisters, the Grammy Award-winning gospel icons known for their timeless hits such as “Is My Living In Vain” and “You Brought The Sunshine.” Among those in attendance were VIPs such as American Idol top 10 finalist Canaan James Hill; Soul and gospel singer Tommye Young-West; Gospel singer Myshel Wilkins; Author, recording artist and Lead Pastor of The Glory House of Frisco Kevin Gray; First Lady and Pastor of The Glory House of Frisco Shondale Gray; and gospel recording artist Gaye Arbuckle.
Together We Sing took place on Wednesday, June 18 at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in
Dallas’ Arts District. In addition to an unforgettable performance by the Clark Sisters, accompanied by
the world-renowned Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the evening also included a special tribute to Dallas’
own, the late Shaun Martin, the 200-voice Unity Choir, with the acclaimed world-renowned music
composer and conductor Maestro Leon Lacey who is best known for his work with Beyonce, Backstreet
Boys, and Usher. Project Unity also honored Dr. Linda Hall-Searight, for her extraordinary contributions
to gospel music. These exceptional collaborations helped deliver an evening of inspiring music and
togetherness, all in support of Project Unity’s mission to strengthen communities and promote unity.
“Together We Sing is more than a concert; it’s a celebration of cultural richness, faith, and the unifying
power of music,” said Project Unity Founder Richie Butler. “With the extraordinary voices of the Clark
Sisters blending with the majesty of the symphony, this year’s event certainly did not disappoint.”
Additionally, the annual Unity Awards made a return this year, featuring a special presentation
honoring Dallas businessman and 95th Linz Award recipient, Roland G. Parrish, with The Distinguished
