E.Lize is back with a brand new art exhibit. This time, the Maryland-based MC and visual artist partnered with DeVaughn Jerrell to produce “1994” dedicated to the year both artists were born.
For the opening night of “1994” at MKT Place Gallery in Wilmington, DE, E.Lize unveiled colorful, acrylic-based paintings of Method Man and Redman, the late DMX (‘Belly’), Zhané, Pharcyde, and Pam Grier – recently signed by the legend herself at the Wilmington Public Library.
To complement the nostalgic ’90s theme of the exhibit, E.Lize showed up decked out in a classic Coogi sweater, paired with gold doorknockers and a matching four-finger ring, reminiscent of Radio Raheem (‘Do The Right Thing’).
DeVaughn Jerrell came through with portrait drawings of Outkast, Andre 3000, and a full wall display dedicated to the sultry Sade. The 1994-born visual artist has enjoyed creating art since the first grade, thanks to his father and uncle, who are also artists. Check out the recap below to see DeVaughn’s work on display at the Wilmington exhibit.
