With a record deal from Interscope, Jamaican-born dancehall star Shenseea took the music world by storm after releasing her debut album “Alpha.”
The multi-talented diva has long been a fixture in her homeland and has worked with artists such as Sean Paul, Beenie Man, and Swae Lee. Since last year, Shenseea has been receiving even more push towards the spotlight, after making her big appearance on Kanye West’s “Donda.” She featured on two songs; “Ok Ok pt 2” and “Pure Souls.” Supplemented with a bit of Caribbean flavor, Shenseea won the favor of many music lovers, which later turned out to be a boost in a positive direction for her music that followed.
On March 11th, Shenseea released “Alpha,” an album that she claims is a display of her versatility. Every song on the project is a display of who she is, her creativity, and her love for music. Since her album release, she has received enormous media recognition, following most of her songs being featured on the hot 200. “Alpha” is a vivid display of Shenseea’s agility as an artist and is currently considered the #1 reggae album in the US. She features various American heavyweights, and Jamaica’s finest artists who braced her tracks in a much deserving way on the album. Rapper, “Tyga” got the most out of the album with two features from the female sensation: “Target” and “Blessed.”
